Welcome to my Blog Growth Report Month 0.
Not Month 1.
Month 0.
Because before we can talk about growth, traffic, Pinterest views, email subscribers, or any of the exciting milestones that come with building a blog, we need a starting point.
This is mine.
Today, I’m documenting exactly where things stand before the growth begins.
And honestly?
The numbers are pretty underwhelming.
Which is exactly the point.
Why I’m Starting This Series
If you’ve spent any time in the blogging world, you’ve probably seen posts like:
- How I Got 100,000 Pageviews
- How I Made $10,000 Blogging
- My Blog Income Report
And while those posts can be helpful, they often skip over something important.
The beginning.
The months when nobody is reading.
The months when traffic is practically nonexistent.
The months when you’re learning, experimenting, and wondering if any of this is actually working.
Those months matter too.
In fact, I think they’re some of the most important months in the entire journey.
That’s why I’m creating this series.
I want to document what it actually looks like to build a blog from the ground up.
Not after success.
Not after a viral post.
Not after thousands of monthly visitors.
From the very beginning.
What Is Let’s Blog Together?
Let’s Blog Together is a blog dedicated to helping new bloggers learn:
- Blogging
- SEO
- Email Marketing
- Affiliate Marketing
- Social Media
My goal is to create the kind of resource I wish I had when I started learning about blogging.
Practical.
Beginner-friendly.
And realistic.
No promises of overnight success.
No “I made six figures in three months” stories.
Just honest lessons, strategies, experiments, and progress.
Or at least that’s the plan.
Why I’m Sharing My Numbers
Because I think transparency matters.
One of the most frustrating things about learning to blog is not knowing what’s normal.
You read success stories.
You see traffic numbers.
You hear income claims.
But you rarely see what happened before all of that.
So I’m sharing everything.
The wins.
The mistakes.
The experiments.
The numbers.
The setbacks.
And hopefully a few lessons learned along the way.

What I’ve Done So Far
Even though the numbers are currently zero, work has already started behind the scenes.
So far I’ve:
- Purchased my domain
- Created the Let’s Blog Together website
- Planned and Optimized my blog categories
- Created 16 blog posts (For the month on July)
- Built out my Pinterest account
- Created my first Pinterest boards and Optimized them
- Created my Email list
Not visible growth.
But important groundwork.
Sometimes the work happens before the numbers show up.
My Goals for This Series
This isn’t about chasing a specific traffic number.
It’s about documenting the process.
Each month I’ll share:
Content Published
How many blog posts I created and what I published.
Pinterest Growth
Monthly views, followers, top-performing pins, and experiments.
Website Traffic
Pageviews, users, and traffic sources.
SEO Progress
Google Search Console clicks, impressions, and keyword growth.
Email List Growth
Subscribers and list-building efforts.
Lessons Learned
What worked. What didn’t. What surprised me.
And what I’m trying next.
What Success Looks Like
A lot of people start a blog with a specific number in mind.
10,000 pageviews.
50,000 pageviews.
100,000 pageviews.
Right now, my definition of success is much simpler.
Success means:
Publishing consistently.
Learning continuously.
Improving over time.
And documenting the journey honestly.
The traffic can come later.
What Happens Next?
Over the next month I’ll be focused on:
- Publishing content
- Growing my Pinterest account
- Learning more about SEO
- Building systems that I can stick with long-term
Nothing revolutionary.
Just consistent action.
And at the end of the month, I’ll come back with an update.
Hopefully there will be a few numbers worth reporting by then.
But even if there aren’t, that’s part of the story too.
The Point of Month 0
This post isn’t really about traffic.
Or Pinterest.
Or email subscribers.
It’s about starting.
Because every successful blog, Pinterest account, email list, and online business began exactly where this one is today.
At zero.
And honestly?
That’s kind of exciting.
I’ll see you in Month 1.
